Last week I shared with you about Donald Trump's great aunts who prayed for a revival in the Lewis Islands off the coast of England. This resulted in one of the greatest revivals of all times. I was 10 years old at that time and I never heard about this revival in the church I attended.

Many Christians heard about the great Charismatic move in the 60's, 70s, and 80's but didn't take advantage of it because their church told them it was of the devil. I heard about the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and began to study what the New Testament had to say about it and found out that it was a promise for everyone. This didn't go well with the leaders of the church I attended and I had to make a decision as to whether I believed what the Lord was revealing to me or to bow down to what the leadership of my church told me. I decided to follow the Lord and it cost me all my friends at that time.

I did receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I became involved with the Full Gospel Men's Fellowship in Parkersburg, WV, and the Jesus Festivals with brother Dale Kuhn. I ended up leading the worship service at the monthly meeting of the FGBFM. We would have upwards to 350 Christians assembled together from all Denominations. At the Jesus festivals we would have upwards to 3 thousand people attend. I would baptize hundreds every year in a stream near the campgrounds.

The Lord led me to establish a Full Gospel Church, New Life Christian Center and He led me to meet some of the greatest anointed ministers in the Body of Christ and many of them ministered at our Church.

In this great outpouring of the Spirit of the Lord that is coming, no one will be able to say that they didn't know about it. John the Baptist talked about this in Matt. 3:11-12,

"I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire: whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

The carnal mind will read that and come to the conclusion that they are going to burn in hell's unquenchable fire! When I was younger, I had an elder say to me, "David, you don't want to be baptized in that fire!" On the surface, this is what most people think when they read that, however, we must take into account what Moses said in Deut. 4:24,

"For the LORD thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God."

David said in Psalm 104:4,

"Who makes his angels spirits; his ministers a flaming fire!"

On the day of Pentecost in Acts 2:4,

"And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

What is the purpose of this fire that He will baptize us with? First, it is not like the fire that we burn in our fireplace or our campsite. This fire is a consuming fire that will burn everything that's within us and our thinking that is not of God. This fire will purge us and make us holy unto the Lord. Oh! How we need this fire! Only the Lord can do this. It will purify our thoughts and actions.

Not only will this fire purify us but it will touch everyone we come in contact with. Paul said in 1 Cor. 3:11-15,

"For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. If any man's work abides which he has built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire."

The awesome presence of the Lord our God will make your knees tremble and you will fall to your knees and declare for certain that He is Lord! Paul quoted scripture in Phil. 2:10 from Isaiah 45:23-24,

"I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear. Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed."

Phil. 2:10,

"At the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Jesus just walked by Matthew in Matt. 9:9 and this is what happened,

"As Jesus passed forth from there, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of customs: and he said unto him, Follow me! And he arose, and followed Him."

Who can resist the power of the Lord! A verse of scripture that has been used by many to try to establish their theory on the rapture is found in Matt 13:38-43,

"The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; (age) and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. (age) The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who has ears to hear, let him hear?"

The tares are within us, which are theories and thoughts that are not of God, and He shall gather them up and put them in the fire of His glory which will destroy them. Then shall we shine forth like the sun in the Kingdom of God here on this earth!

Jesus said in Lk. 12:49, (NIV)

"I have come to bring fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!"

John the Baptist said in Matt. 3:12,

"Whose fan is in his hand, and he will thoroughly purge his floor, and gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."

This fire that is coming is like nothing we have seen in this lifetime. It will set God's people on fire and everything they touch will be set on fire and this fire will consume all things that are not of Him. The world will have to recognize that there is a true God and His Name is The Lord Jesus Christ. He is the great I am, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Moses experienced this fire, when he stood before the burning bush. The bush was on fire and yet it wasn't consumed. Ex. 3:2,

"And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed."

Again, the Lord said in Isaiah 43:1-3,

"O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you: when thou walk through the fire, you shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon you. For I am the LORD your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior"
